The Tuscan coast is peppered with beach clubs and bathing establishments, but few have the cachet of this exclusive enclave. Set on and above a pristine Argentario beach of sand and rocks, in a wild cove protected by the small, uninhabited island whose name it bears, Isolotto proves that nothing is as perfect as nature's simplicity. The rooftop bar and restaurant of LA ROQQA is a world of taste that exalts Italy’s talent for good food, delicious liquid refreshment and convivial living. Fresh and seasonal, refined yet unfussy, the menu honors the territory in a series of dishes that blend Tuscan tradition with contemporary innovation, an all-Tuscan wine list, and a cocktail menu inspired by artistic genius Caravaggio. All dishes come with a secret: a magical view of Porto Ercole, spread out below like a diorama.

La Capitana
Country and coast are close friends in this part of Tuscany. A historic farm estate producing wine, olive oil and vegetables, La Capitana centres on an 18th-century manor house of solid, weathered beauty, one that enjoys unparalleled views over Argentario and the Tuscan Archipelago. Set to reopen after a renovation in 2027, it will become the handsome rural sister of Miramis’ seaside properties, offering restorative breaks in an unspoiled natural setting.

Torre di Cala Piccola
Generations of guests have forged a bond of loyalty with a resort that could write a whole chapter in the Argentario history book. Set in magnificent isolation on the peninsula’s north-western coast, with romantic sunset views across to the island of Giglio, the hotel and its restaurant are set on a clifftop that descends into one of Italy’s most romantic sea coves. Miramis will restyle and realunch it for seekers of authentic contemporary elegance, while paying homage to its rich heritage.

Ex Cirio
Opened in 1926, the former Cirio factory specialised in sardine and anchovy canning. For much of the 20th century, it was Porto Ercole's chief employer, and even after decades of abandonment, stands as a proud reminder of the Tuscan port town’s industrial heritage. Now it is soon to begin a new chapter. The architecturally striking wellness resort and culinary magnet that is due to be unveiled here in 2029 will respect both the low, shore-hugging lines of its surroundings and its symbiosis with the town.
